Failure Isn’t Final
Wishing everyone a very happy and blessed Palm Sunday. Today, our LFM teammate, Dave McKechnie, teaches about Peter’s failure as Jesus is being tried on Maundy Thursday. The message encourages us never to let failure have the final word. Dave and his wife, Linda, live in Charlotte, where this sermon was preached, and the two continue to have an impactful and powerful ministry in the church. May God speak to us through this word.
Damascus House
Today, let’s pray for Jim Morgan, who is a part of starting Damascus House Ministries. Jim serves on LFM’s Board after working for years as Krispy Kreme’s CEO. Damascus House will be a rehab center in Georgetown, South Carolina. They will offer Christian rehab counseling for those with drug and alcohol addictions in the Georgetown County Detention Center. Including streamed worship services and onsite pastoral care Sunday mornings at the Detention Center.
The project also includes establishing a full-time Christian residential rehab home where the residents will complete a ten-month program and develop an onsite work program. Like the apostle Paul, the goal is that these men will travel to Damascus as non-believers with sordid pasts and then undergo a life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.
Pray for the acreage needed for the entire residential facility and the people leading and going through the programs at Damascus House.
