Giving Thanks in Difficult Times
A blessed Lord’s Day to you, Sunday Extra friends. Today David Renwick shares our message. David retired recently after pastoring for many years in Washington, D.C. He joined an LFM mentoring gathering in October to learn how to pour his life into other pastors. David has been
a friend of LFM for years – and a friend of Jim Singleton through connections that take them back to the 1980s. His sermon on suffering is the next to final one he preached at his congregation. David helps us remember with thanksgiving that God is with us even in our suffering.
Preparing to Remember

With Advent season only days away, the coming weeks offer plenty of occasions for talking about the Lord. The original derivation of the word “holiday” comes from the words “holy day.” Believers can seize opportunities all around us for recognizing God’s presence and promises.
