Choosing Joy
A long-time friend of Leighton Ford and LFM shares today’s Sunday Extra message. Ken Shigematsu first met Leighton while he was a student at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. He had the privilege of driving Leighton around New England, and in so doing forged a deep friendship that shaped his life. This sermon comes from one of the chapters of Ken’s new book, Now I Become Myself. Today he talks to us about choosing joy!
Everything Good
Let’s pray for some of our LFM staffers as they engage in ministry this week. Kevin Ford will be partnering with the National Christian Foundation of South Florida in board development work January 15-19. Also, Nick Hurst, who directs our social media, spoke yesterday at the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove for the Pulse 100 Retreat of young evangelists. He will also preach January 19 at Ocoee Ridge Camp for a church’s Winter Retreat.
Let’s pray for God to equip them “with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:21 NIV).
