Sunday Extra | Ken Shigematsu

Sunday Extra – July 21st, 2024

A Picture of Christ’s Love

Ken Shigematsu shares God’s Word today. He pastors Tenth Church in Vancouver, British Columbia, and has had a special relationship with LFM for decades. Leighton has mentored Ken through the years, and Ken, in turn, pours his life into many young pastors.

Today, Ken’s sermon is part of a series on the book of Ephesians. In a recent sermon, he delved into Ephesians 5:21-33, a crucial passage on marriage. Despite its potential for misunderstanding, Ken’s insightful explanation reveals the surprising nature of God’s intentions in marriage and singleness, which resonates with many of us.

Praying for Evangelists

Today, let’s pray for two LFM evangelists who will be speaking the next two Sundays at Carmel Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Today, Nick Hurst, a young man from Anderson, South Carolina, shares God’s Word. Nick serves as LFM’s Social Media Director and has a great heart to connect with his generation for the sake of the Gospel. Next Sunday, July 28, Mark Slaughter, LFM’s Director of International Mentoring and a decades-long evangelist, preaches at Carmel. Mark’s twin passions are communicating the Gospel and mentoring younger evangelists. Let’s pray for the anointing of the Spirit of God upon them as they preach – and for the Spirit to open the eyes and ears of listeners to His truth.

You can still sign up to attend the free luncheon at Carmel on July 28. It is not a fundraiser, but an opportunity to hear the exciting ventures LFM is involved with around the world as we invest into healthy leaders and thriving ministries.

The luncheon (11:45am – 1pm) is free, but we need to know you’re coming. Click here to tell us you plan on joining us.
