He is Faithful
2024 marks the 70 th anniversary of Carmel Church in Carmel, California. Peter Barnes preaches to that body from Lamentations 3 today on Sunday Extra. Through this text, he helps them remember God’s faithfulness to their congregation. Enjoy listening to their story – and to the one of the writer of the beloved hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness.” It encourages us all to remember the Lord’s faithfulness.
Carmel Church is partnering with LFM in their current search process for a pastor. They have evaluated their own congregation with our Transforming Church Insight (congregational survey). One of our strategic advisory board members, Chuck Stees, is part of that congregation. We are grateful for Peter Barnes, their transitional pastor, a longtime friend of Leighton, having been mentored by Leighton for years.
The Spirit of The LORD
Join with us in praying this week as the Board of Directors of Leighton Ford Ministries meets in Charlotte, North Carolina, for their semi-annual meeting. Pray for “Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD” to abound within them (Isaiah 11:2 NIV). Let’s also pray for Kevin Ford as he leads a church in Pittsford, New York, through a visioning retreat this coming weekend.
