Welcome this October Sunday morning to our weekly Extra. Steve Turnbull pastors a multi-campus church in a suburb of Columbus, Ohio. LFM worked with their leadership through a visioning strategy and then assisted in the search process that resulted in Steve becoming their new senior pastor. We continue to consult with their staff and leadership. Today he guides us through a study of the Exodus – and how it applies to the life-changing Gospel.
Finding New Strength
With the changing of the leaves in the autumn season comes a lot of opportunities for ministry for the LFM family. This past week, several of our
staffers led a mentoring gathering for North American pastors in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Will you please pray for these pastors as they return home and prayerfully consider who to invite into mentoring communities?
Kevin Ford is leading visioning retreat this weekend for a church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. And Leighton Ford will be guiding some kingdom leaders in a mentoring experience the end of this week in Blowing Rock.
Let’s pray that for all of these opportunities, the Lord will renew and refresh everyone involved, remembering that “those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31 NLT).
