A Posture of Thanksgiving
We celebrate Thanksgiving in the United States this week, and at LFM we wish for you a thankful spirit that rejoices in our Lord. You may remember that our friend Ken Shigematsu is the Senior Pastor at Tenth Presbyterian Church in Vancouver, British Columbia. Today one of Ken’s associates, Jade Hallownia, delivers the message. Jade oversees the multi-site ministry of Tenth Church. Preaching from the Old Testament, he shares about Daniel’s habit of seeking the Lord in troubled times and living in a posture of thanksgiving. May his words help you practice gratitude.
Praying for His Filling
This past week the staff, board members, and some friends of Leighton Ford Ministries gathered. We shared a concert of prayer together, praying for our mentoring leaders and pastors in the Global LFM Family by name with specific requests. And we talked about ways LFM can continue mentoring and supporting healthy leaders and thriving ministries.
Today please join us in praying for Dr. Roger Parrott, the Chairman of our Board of Directors at LFM. The President of Belhaven University, he also serves on the Executive Committee of the Lausanne Movement. Pray with us for the Lord to fill Roger “with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks” (Colossians 1:9-12 NIV).
