Staying Attentive
Welcome to the first Sunday of Advent! Jim Singleton, LFM’s Executive Director of Missional Leadership, shares today’s Sunday Extra. He delivered this sermon on November 13 at a church in Carmel, California. To his surprise, he found Chuck Stees, a member of the LFM Strategic Advisory Board, in that congregation. The Carmel church is going through a transition with their pastor, and like most congregations today, they are trying to discover where God is leading in this season. As you listen, pay attention to where God might be directing your life.
Following The Shepherd
Describing Himself as the great Shepherd, Jesus Christ said that His “sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice“ (John 10:3-4 NIV). Join us in praying for your own congregation and leadership today. Pray for your pastor and his or her family and for the church to be faithful in following Christ.
