Foundations
Marnie Crumpler shares God’s Word with us today on Sunday Extra. It is good to hear a mother preach on Mother’s Day. This sermon is part of a year-long series on the books of the Bible that she calls “Foundations.” In this message, she and her congregation look at I and II Chronicles. She also provides a wonderful review of the whole series up to this point, helping us remember the narrative and timeline of that part of the Old Testament. Marnie and her husband Mark serve a congregation in Pennsylvania and are participating in a discipleship initiative through LFM.
Godly Women
Today, we remember mothers, grandmothers, and other special women in our lives. Thank the Lord for those wives, aunts, daughters, teachers, and mentors who have shaped us and helped us become the people we are. The Bible reminds us that godly women clothe themselves “with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God” (1 Peter 3:4 NLT). Take a moment of thanksgiving and prayer for some of the special women in your life.
