Sunday Extra – June 25th, 2023
Vision and Hope
This week on Sunday Extra we welcome Peter McKechnie, son of our own Dave McKechnie. Peter pastors a congregation in Charlotte, and this morning’s sermon paints a picture of how vision and hope are so important at his church as they wrestle with the challenges before them. This sermon also provides a glimpse into what LFM does in partnership with a local congregation.
Kevin Ford partnered with this congregation in 2019 during their pastoral transition, which resulted in hiring Peter. We can benefit from reflecting on our vision and hope for the future.
Providing Wise Counsel
The book of Proverbs says, “Counsel in a man’s heart is deep water; but a man of understanding draws it out” (20:5 HCSB). As LFM staff members partner with different churches, we hope to be people of understanding who provide wise counsel to pastors and church leaders.
Please pray with us this week for the following ministry endeavors. Kevin Ford is leading a leadership retreat in Branson, Missouri. Jim Singleton preaches today at Highland Park Church in Dallas, Texas. And our LFM Board has their semi-annual meeting this week.
Also, Jean Ford recently had treatment for a slow pulse rate. Please pray for a speedy recovery. Thank you for your prayers!
