The Lord, Our Father
Happy Father’s Day to you all. Many of us enjoyed wonderful fathers who shaped and formed us in profound ways. Others endured difficulties with their earthly dads, requiring some spiritual fathers to intervene in their lives. Mentors and friends can help restore our father-image, so that we embrace a better picture of our Heavenly Father, who is a “father to the fatherless” (Psalm 68:5 NIV).
John Yates III of Raleigh, North Carolina, shares God’s Word today on Sunday Extra. He helps us see the Faithfulness of God in the midst of Elijah’s life. Kevin Ford has worked with the staff at John’s church discovering and maximizing their strengths. We are grateful for John’s word to us this week.
Praying for Gospel Opportunities
Please join us in prayer this week at Leighton Ford Ministries for several opportunities. Kevin Ford and Jim Singleton will be turning in their final manuscript this week to InterVarsity Press for their book, Attentive Church Leadership. Pray with us for the Lord to use it to strengthen and encourage many pastors and ministry leaders around the globe.
Also, pray as some of our team members are partnering and coaching with churches. Rich Hurst will be with a church in Bend, Oregon, and Kevin Ford with one in Pittsford, New York.
