New Mentors
In the month of May we trained a new group of mentors for our Mentoring American Pastors program which puts more and more pastors into mentoring groups. One of our new mentors is Lipe Fernandez, who serves at Liberty Church in Jersey City, New Jersey- just across the Hudson River from New York City. Lipe is a delightful young man who is doing some amazing things in ministry. We are grateful God helped us join with him in this vital mentoring ministry within LFM.
Praying for Shepherds
Today, let’s stop and pray for those who are leading our ministries and churches. The demands in ministry today are quite challenging, and the recent two-year pandemic created a whole new set of hurdles for all sorts of ministries, whether in your local church or a global mission agency.
Let’s pray the following for people we know and love serving in these roles:
1. Pray that they will be empowered by the Holy Spirit (Zechariah 4:6).
2. Pray that they will make time alone with God a priority (Matthew 6:33).
3. Pray that they will resist temptation and be holy (James 4:7-8).
4. Pray that their ministries will be Christ-centered, leading others to the Savior (John 12:32).
