Sunday Extra – February 26th, 2023
Mulligans
Kevin Ford, LFM’s Chief Catalyst, shares our Sunday Extra this week. He preached last Sunday at Carmel Presbyterian Church in Charlotte. In Acts 26, the apostle Paul told King Agrippa, “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision” (19 ESV). The Lord enabled Paul, through many twists and turns in his life, to accomplish God’s purposes. Using an illustration from golfing, Kevin reminds us about the mulligans the Lord gives to us. Thankfully, His grace allows for many do-overs.
New Friends with Jesus and Revival at Asbury University
Two weeks ago, on Sunday Extra, we heard Cedric talk about friendship. Yesterday at his church this young man in the following picture gave his life to the Lord, after hearing the sermon. Let’s pray for him and his parents here in the picture with him as he begins his new friendship with Christ. Praise the Lord!
Just a few days ago, the Emerging Revivalists Network, one of our LFM mentoring groups, met for their yearly gathering. They decided to change their plans and go together to Asbury University to experience the revival movement that has been going on. Pray for the Emerging Revivalists, to take their renewed passion for evangelism and revival back to the countries they serve in. And let’s pray together for the Lord to pour out a spirit of revival and spiritual awakening across our world. “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy” (Habakkuk 3:2 NIV).
