Giving It Up
Peter McKechnie of Carmel Church in Charlotte, NC, shares our message today. Peter’s father, Dave McKechnie, serves as President of Leighton Ford Ministries. Peter is currently preaching through a Lenten series called Giving It Up. Taken from the account of the apostle Peter’s denial
of Jesus, McKechnie shares how we, like Peter, can give up our guilt. May his words be refreshing to you today. Kevin Ford walked through a transition with the leadership of Carmel in a revitalization process that resulted in hiring Peter McKechnie. LFM often partners with churches as they transition between pastors.
Praying for God’s Servants
Peter asks us to pray for his congregation as they move forward. Ask God to work among them to be willing to volunteer for service opportunities within their church and look for ways to get outside of the familiar to impact others. Let’s also pray for Kevin Ford today as he finishes a discovery process with Redeemer Ministries in Redwood City, California, and for Dave McKechnie, as he preaches this morning at Carmel Church.
