Are You Ready to Die?
This past Friday the Ford and Graham families celebrated the life, legacy, and homegoing of Jean Graham Ford. She, like many people in her family, was passionate about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and seeing people come to faith in Him.
Before her brother, Billy Graham, died, he had a deep desire to preach one more time. Today on Sunday Extra we are blessed to hear Dr. Graham’s last message—recorded in his North Carolina, mountaintop home. Ask the Lord to speak to you during his final sermon, “Are You Ready to Die?”
Promise of Resurrection
Please continue praying for Leighton Ford and his entire family as they adjust to Jean’s passing. How thankful we are for the hope of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the promise of the resurrection for the believer. The Bible says, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away” (Revelation 21:4 NIV).
Pray also today for LFM’s Jim Singleton, who is preaching this morning at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, in Dallas, Texas, where Billy’s brother-in-law, Clayton Bell, was the long-term pastor. Jim will also be teaching pastors this week at a gathering for Transitional Pastors in Evangelism and Discipleship.
