Quick to Anger
Corey Widmer pastors in Richmond, Virginia, and is a frequent guest on Sunday Extra. He has partnered with LFM in leadership development and co-led a Pastor Mentoring Group with Jim Singleton for ten years. His message, from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in the Gospel of Matthew, focuses on anger. Corey offers a powerful message for us personally and a timely word for a culture that is often conditioned to be quick to anger.
Spiritual Wisdom and Understanding
Let’s pray this week for Kevin Ford as he leads a congregational visioning retreat at a church in McKinney, Texas. Also, the Leighton Ford Ministries Board of Directors will hold a board meeting this week. We’re thankful for the team of godly men and women the Lord has brought together in this role. Pray with us for the hand of the Lord to be upon them, and for the Spirit of the Lord to fill them with the “knowledge of His will and to give [them] spiritual wisdom and understanding” (Colossians 1:9 NLT). Our board members are Roger Parrot (Board Chair), Rick Noling (Treasurer), Jim Morgan (Founder’s Chair), Anne Grizzle, Kevin Ford, Dave McKechnie, and Jim Osterhaus.
