What To Do When Life Is Hard
Today, our sermon is from Ps. 130 with Claude Alexander, the senior pastor of The Park Church in Charlotte. He points us towards what to do in difficult times. Dr. Alexander is a leader in many realms of our faith – including our Strategic Advisory Board, and the boards of Inter-Varsity, and Christianity Today. He is also the board chair of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. In addition, he has co-authored with Mac Piers a recent book on issues in racial reconciliation entitled, Required. We recommend it.
Mentoring News
The “Emerging Revivalist” LFM mentoring group met in Rome this past week. Sarah Breuel of the group quoted from Prov. 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, one person sharpens another.” and said, “It is hard to put into words how God moved among us as we sought his face. Things too sacred to share. As I mature in life, one of the most important decisions is who you choose to run the race alongside. Friends who will speak into my life and I in theirs, fellow warriors as we pursue revival in our continent. Each of us also shared vulnerably with one another and prayed for each one. Pure gold! They are my soul friends, I love each of them dearly, and I honor the calling and anointing in their lives. Thank you, Jesus!”
Please join us this week in praying for our mentoring leaders and groups worldwide. See them here.
