Delighting in the Lord at Christmas
David Henderson, a pastor in West Lafayette, Indiana, is a longtime friend of Leighton Ford’s and a soul deeply connected to LFM. Today he delivers our Sunday Extra message on this special day of Christmas Eve. David helps us to hear the nativity story through the lives of Mary and Joseph. God Makes it Grow
J John, a special friend of LFM and long-time member of the Point Mentoring Group, ministers in the United Kingdom (UK). This December included many ministry opportunities, including filming three Christmas programs broadcast on four television networks, preaching on several occasions to thousands, and writing a Christmas column for the most influential newspaper in the UK. They also produce resources used by about 3000 churches.
Let’s ask the Spirit of God to take all the Gospel seed that has been sown during December and water it so that it might bear great fruit for the Kingdom. As the apostle Paul said, “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow” (1 Corinthians 3:6 NIV). Pray also for J John and his family, that they may be able to rest and be renewed physically, spiritually, and mentally after a busy season of ministry.
And remember to keep praying for Jean Ford as she recovers from pneumonia.
