Clothed with Power
Ken Shigematsu of Tenth Church in Vancouver, British Columbia, delivers our message today. Leighton Ford has mentored Ken for years, and Ken in turn mentors others. His current series, “Clothed with Power,” shares the power and presence of God’s Spirit available to believers. Today’s sermon, “The Gift of the Holy Spirit,” reminds us of the Spirit’s daily impact in our lives. And, one of Ken’s illustrations is about one of Leighton’s grandchildren!
Thankful for The Helper
Ken asks us to pray that, as a faith community, Tenth Church will be open to the work of the Holy Spirit in their midst. Let’s also pray for Jim Singleton as he teaches a group of ministers in Tacoma, Washington, today. We’re thankful for the Helper at work in our lives: “The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid” (John 10:26-27 NIV).
