Dave McKechnie – Little White Lies

Celebrating 30 Years

LFM’s mission is to be a catalyst for mentoring a new generation of missional leaders who sustain thriving ministries for the sake of the Gospel.

We’re thankful at LFM for the incredible people God has brought alongside of this ministry to serve as partners, guides, and friends. One of those is our board chair, Roger Parrott, who just celebrated his 30th anniversary as President of Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. Looking back over this three decades, he writes, “Here at Belhaven University God has called us to participate in the Great Commission by being both faithful and dependent on Him for the outcome. I’m so thankful that we are committed to long-haul Kingdom building, engaging in discipleship wherever and whenever God opens a door.”

We thank God for Roger and how he serves God’s Kingdom in many ways. Today, let’s pray for his daughter, Madison, who has suffered from long-term COVID for six years. Let’s ask God to restore her health, to encourage her, and to strengthen Roger and his wife MaryLou as they care for her.

Little White Lies

Today on Sunday Extra, LFM’s Dave McKechnie shares God’s Word from Acts 5. Reminding us that God’s people are not called to be fans of Jesus, but to be like Jesus, he takes us to the biblical account of Ananias and Sapphira in a message called “Little White Lies.” He reminds us of the importance of truth-telling as we follow God. For 25 years, Dave served as Senior Pastor of a church in Houston that was one of the largest congregations in his denomination.
