Today let’s pray the LFM Point Group mentoring community, LFM’s longest-running mentoring community which Leighton formed over thirty years ago. They met for their yearly in-person retreat this past week. Pray for Leighton, Stephen, Roland, Carson, Craig, and Steve, as well as J John and Elke, who were unable to attend. As they return home and continue trusting in God, may He direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Why We Need Friends
Today on Sunday Extra, Dr. Ajith Fernando shares a message he preached at Dallas Theological Seminary called “Why We Need Friends.” Ajith was the Chair of the Lausanne Theology Working Group and a plenary speaker at Singapore ’87, the first Lausanne Conference for Younger Leaders. During that same time, Leighton Ford was the Chair of the Lausanne Congress. Ajith serves as the Teaching Director at Youth for Christ in Sri Lanka. In this message, he discusses how accountable friends help believers live wise, holy, and fruitful lives.
