What Happens When We Fail?
How do you respond to Jesus when you fail miserably?
Will Torres, a pastor in South Florida and a friend of LFM, looks at this question from the life of the apostle Peter on this week’s LiveCalled Today. In Luke 22 and John 21, we see the dismal failure of the scared disciple, denying his Lord not once but three times. Yet it is Jesus’ nature to be gracious and full of mercy, and later in John 21 we find Him restoring the erring fisherman, assuring him of His eternal love and commitment to Peter.

PAUSE AND PRAY
Do you realize Jesus’ mercy is far greater than your worst failure? Our sinful, doubting tendencies do not take God by surprise, and neither do they negate divine grace. Sometimes our own sinfulness produces brokenness and humility in us – as it did with the apostle Peter. And when we come to Jesus in that state of contrition, He stands ready to restore our fellowship with Him and work through us for His purposes. Come to Him afresh today.
