Why Did God Ask This of Me?
Have you ever felt like God gave you a raw deal?
Rhett Wilson Sr., LFM’s Senior Director of Communications and Partnerships, takes us to Jeremiah 20 on this week’s LiveCalled Today. We see the prophet Jeremiah during a difficult season when he felt deceived and overpowered by God. Faithfulness to God’s way made life much harder than he expected and at a great cost. Jeremiah talks himself through complaining to getting his eyes back on Jehovah, the only sure place to stay.

PAUSE AND PRAY
Has faithfully following God led you to thorny, difficult places? You may relate to the prophet Jeremiah, who said the “word of the LORD has brought me insult and reproach” (20:8 NIV). It’s ok to take your complaints straight to your God, your Rock, Refuge, and Strong Tower. As you do, remind yourself that “the LORD is with me like a mighty warrior” (20:11 NIV), and He will ultimately be your reward.
