Who Tells You The Truth?
Who in your life is allowed to tell you the truth? Who’s got access, standing, and courage to say the thing nobody else will say? It may be the thing you don’t want to hear, and it may be true.
Today, LFM’s Senior Leadership Coach, Pete Della Santina talks to us on LiveCalled Today from 2 Samuel 12 and 13 about a pivotal moment in the life of one king.
King David’s life derailed for a season, and God used the instrument of a counselor and friend to bring him back to his senses. The more authority a person possesses, the fewer people there are who will tell that person the truth. God sent Nathan, not to fix the past, but to rescue the future.

PAUSE AND PRAY
If a man described as one after God’s heart can derail, so can you. Who are the Nathans in your life, and are you giving them enough access to actually speak truth to you? A voice at arm’s length can’t help you. May we cultivate the type of relationships and leadership cultures where people can speak the truth in love.
