What is an Evangelist?
What comes to mind when you think of an evangelist? Sometimes we hear of poor examples of evangelists, but the Bible shows us what God values in one.
Today, Wesley Paul, LFM’s Senior Global Mentor and Trainer, takes us to Luke 3 to see the tremendous model of John the Baptist. Called to be a proclaimer of God’s words, he prepared the way for the Messiah “in the spirit and power of Elijah” (Luke 1:17 NKJV). Through Wesley Paul International Ministries, Wesley shares the Gospel all over the world.

PAUSE AND PRAY
Today, we need men and women called of God who are faithful to preach with the power of God’s Spirit and the boldness needed to speak truth. The Bible says in the New Testament that early preachers spoke with the fire and power of God upon them. As a result, they turned the hearts of the people to God, making a way for the Messiah to transform their lives. May the Spirit empower evangelists and preachers today to speak the Word of God, calling people to faith and repentance. How can you share God’s Word with others this week?
