Asking Good Questions
Leighton Ford Ministries continues to build a global network of missional mentors who invest in healthy leaders for the sake of the Gospel. This week ministry leaders connected to our Mentoring American Pastors initiative will gather for conversation, prayer, and discernment as we seek God’s guidance for the next steps in this important work. Please join us in praying for wisdom and clarity as we continue investing in the lives of leaders and pastors across the country.
Asking Good Questions
Scripture reminds us, “Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith” (Hebrews 13:7 ESV).
In this week’s Sunday Extra, Jim Singleton and Ken Shigematsu reflect on the influence Leighton Ford has had on their lives and leadership. One theme that stands out is the power of asking good questions. Mentoring often begins not with giving answers but with listening well. Jim and Ken share how Leighton consistently asks thoughtful questions that help younger leaders recognize where God is already at work in their lives.
Their conversation comes from a special gathering in October 2025 celebrating the launch of our new Jeanie’s Vision initiative.
