Sunday Extra – May 29th, 2022
Rejoicing Through Difficulty
Once again, we welcome Jim Singleton to Sunday Extra. Jim serves on our LFM team as Executive Director of Missional Leadership. In this sermon given at the Baccalaureate service of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary on May 6, he describes the reality of suffering and our attempt to rejoice during it.
Praying for Workers
This week, let’s pray for the other four pastors who recently attended our mentorship training at the Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Ask the Lord to work in and through these men and women to bear much fruit for His kingdom.
Courtney Grager, a pastor at Marin Covenant Church in Novato, CA. She started
Deep Well Ministries to help women rest, renew and reconnect.
Lou Huesmann, 40 years as a pastor in Long Beach, CA, and now
with PastorServe as their Executive Director of California and Arizona. He actively
coaches and consults with pastors.
Dan Johnston, Pastor in the Evangelical Free Churches (WI, SC) and with
Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He and his wife started the Quiet Waters retreat
ministry in SC.
Michael Smith, former Bishop of the Diocese of North Dakota for the Episcopal
Church. He hopes to form three Mentoring Communities in the eastern, central,
and western USA under Communion Partners of the Episcopal Church.
