What Does God Think of You?

J John, an evangelist and friend of LFM, is a minister, speaker, broadcaster and writer, who lives near London, England. He participated in Leighton’s original mentoring group for ministry leaders. In today’s Sunday Extra, J. shares a sermon he recently preached at a church in Dallas, Texas. He reminds how easy it is to become distracted by little things and miss the big picture. Looking at Matthew chapter 6, J. challenges us to seriously consider this question: What does God think of you?

Encouragement and Guidance

At Leighton Ford Ministries (LFM) we exist to be a catalyst for mentoring a new generation of missional leaders who sustain thriving ministries for the sake of the Gospel. One of the key ways we do that is by training and equipping ministry leaders to start mentoring groups for pastors, evangelists, and other Kingdom workers. These groups provide more than teaching; they offer an arm around the shoulder for encouragement, guidance, and friendship.

One of our mentors, Kurt Andre, leads a group of nine Hispanic leaders from across the Americas, including Brazil, Colombia, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. In just a couple of weeks, they will gather for their annual retreat. Would you join us in praying for them? Ask God to refresh and encourage these pastors and deepen their sense of calling as they serve their congregations and communities.

Let’s also pray for J. John as he currently is in Australia sharing the Gospel. May God “give [him] the right words so [he] can boldly explain God’s mysterious plan [of] the Good News” (Ephesians 6:19 NLT).
