Cody Jensen – Servant Driven
Mature and Fully Assured
LFM’s mission is to be a catalyst for mentoring a new generation of missional leaders who sustain thriving ministries for the sake of the Gospel.
We want to build not just programs, but people.
Not just outward success, but spiritual depth.
One way we do that is partnering with congregations on a multi-year journey based on listening, research, and coaching. Together, we will develop a custom roadmap to guide your church into the next phase of vibrant ministry.
Kevin Ford and Rich Hurst have been partnering with a church near St. Louis, Missouri for the last 6 years. This weekend, the leaders will have a retreat to continue developing and refining their True North. Let’s pray for him and this congregation as they seek to “stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured” (Colossians 4:12 NIV). Servant Driven
Our speaker today is Pastor Cody Jensen, who serves a church in Southern California. Our team members, Anabel and Rich, recently spent a year walking with their leadership team through a visioning process to help them discover their True North. Today, we see and hear about their new series on core values. We’ll start with an introduction to the series and then hear the first message, titled “Servant Driven,” from Matthew 20. Cody grew up in Big Bear Lake, California, where he spent his youth on the slopes, the lake, and the playing fields.
He came to faith at Hume Lake Christian Camp on July 21, 1999 – a moment that changed the course of his life. After earning a degree in Business Administration from Cal State Fullerton and beginning a career in finance with Northwestern Mutual, Cody devoted his time to ministry, serving in leadership and teaching roles at Mariners Church and Saddleback Church. Today, he invites us to reflect on what it means to live as people who are Servant Driven, following Jesus’ call to lead by serving and to embody His heart in everyday life.
