Sunday Extra – June 26th, 2022
Facing Our Fears
In one scene of the classic movie, The Wizard of Oz, Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and Tin Man become afraid of lions, and tigers, and bears – oh my! In today’s Sunday Extra sermon, Claude Alexander weaves that fear together with the account of David and Goliath in I Samuel 17. The Bible can help all of us realize that when God is with us, the battle is the Lord’s. Claude, a dynamic and creative pastor, has ministered for many years in Charlotte, NC. A long-time friend and colleague of Leighton, he serves as a part of LFM’s Strategic Advisory Board. Listen today as he reminds us again and again that God is stronger than the lions, tigers, and bears of our lives.
Planning For New Groups
Claude is currently recovering from emergency eye surgery to repair a detached retina. Please pray for the healing to be complete and the sight to be fully restored.
Also, this past week a group of our global mentors met online to connect and pray. Some of them – as well as the pastors who recently attended our whole-life mentor training in Blowing Rock, NC – are in various stages of planning to launch new mentoring groups. Please pray for them as they prepare to make this happen and as they navigate the challenges involved. May the Lord be glorified through these efforts and many Kingdom leaders be strengthened and encouraged.
