The Largeness of His Mercy
We continue this week at Holy Trinity Church in Raleigh, with John Yates III, in another sermon in his series, “Sinners, Scoundrels, and Outcasts” (We commend the whole series to you.) In this message, John visits an often-confusing passage. Jesus is with a mother who asks for help for her daughter. At first, Christ seems to discourage her because she is not originally from Israel. But listen as John digs deeper, pointing us to see the largeness of the Lord’s mercy. Kevin Ford will be onsite at Holy Trinity this week, helping John’s staff discover and maximize their strengths. Prayers for wisdom and discernment are appreciated.
Join Us in Praying
Please pray for the ECO (A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians) national convention. Jim Singleton and Rich Hurst will attend and work, renewing friendships and listening and encouraging pastors. We also hope to begin new partnerships with churches represented. Also, pray with us for our Thriving Church Cohort initiative we have been leading with nineteen churches across the county, helping them become thriving outward-focused churches penetrating their communities with the gospel of Christ. Let’s intercede for the four coaches and nineteen pastors for clarity, wisdom and the resources needed to lead.
