Reflections | Dr. Leighton Ford (Mentoring)
Nearing Seattle (A Poem)
May 24, 2016
The coastal mountains now appear
like two halves of a birthday cake
parted by a deep blue ribbon
topped with coatings of white sugar
threads dripping down the sides
like a vast array of circus tents
pitched on bare brown fields.
