Forgiveness Changes People
Happy 4th of July weekend to you all. At LFM, we hope you can rest and restore this weekend as we thank God for our nation’s freedoms.
Alan Clayton, who serves a large congregation named “The Ark” in Conroe, Texas, delivers our Sunday Extra message today. LFM’s Jim Osterhaus has coached him for the past nineteen years, obviously shaping aspects of his ministry with the LFM touch. He speaks on the important subject of forgiveness and how it impacts both the giver and receiver. Alan asks us this week to pray for their church as they seek to bring a young couple on staff to train and mentor.
Pray for the Nation
As we celebrate our country’s freedom, join us in praying for all those places and people struggling for theirs. We have mentors living in countries where we can’t publish their names or places they live and work. Yet, they continue sharing the good news while living their faith. Join us in praying for them and their countries, and let us also pray for Ukraine (5.2 million refugees), Syria (6.8 refugees), Afghanistan (2.8 million refugees), and South Sudan (2.2 million refugees). In these places, millions have lost their freedom. How thankful we are for the Lord, who has “taken account of my wanderings. Put my tears in Your bottle. Are they not recorded in Your book?” (Psalm 56:8 AMP).
