Sunday Extra – April 21st, 2024
Engaging Others
Jim Singleton, longtime pastor, seminary professor, and mentor to pastors, brings our Sunday Extra message this week. With Leighton Ford Ministries, he connects with ministry leaders and churches all over North America. Jim is preaching at a church in Texas on the way Jesus interacted with Zaccheaus the Tax Collector. It helps all of us see ways to engage people with the love of Jesus.
Praying for Friends on The Journey
Jim Osterhaus, our newest board member, has been a longtime friend of Leighton Ford’s – and has also worked with Kevin for many years. A psychologist and coach, he has written numerous books on leadership, conflict, pastoral issues, and history. He brings so much leadership to LFM and truly is a trusted friend on the journey. Jim and his wife Marcy live in Virginia, where Marcy was an oncology nurse for years. A couple of years ago, Jim had a heart issue that scared us all, and while he has recovered, he would like us to pray for his energy to return fully. Please join us this week in praying for Jim and Marcy’s health. It would mean a lot to us. Also, we want to pray for you as well; please let us know how we can pray for you by writing us at info@lfmconnect.org with your requests.
Also, the LFM team is excited about Kevin Ford and Jim Singleton’s new book, Attentive Church Leadership, which released April 2. On its first day, it ranked #1, #2, and #4 in three of its Amazon categories. Let’s pray together for the Lord to use this tool advance His kingdom and encourage and equip pastors and ministry leaders for His purposes.
