Does God Call the Ordinary?
Have you ever been in the middle of an ordinary day, and suddenly you find yourself in the middle of something extraordinary?
Today, Rhett Wilson – LFM’s Senior Director of Communications – takes us to the burning bush in Exodus 3:1-12. God spoke through the burning bush, interrupting an ordinary life. Moses was simply tending sheep when God spoke. He was commissioned not from a platform or a position of power but from a moment of faithful, unglamorous work. And Moses would learn to depend not on his own self-sufficiency but on the constant presence of God.
PAUSE AND PRAY: In the hustle and bustle of our lives, may we practice attentiveness, to listen to God, the people around us, and the ways God wants to involve us in His purposes in this world.
STAY TUNED: Next week, Jim Singleton walks us through the calling of Joshua, the Warrior, whom God called to “be strong and courageous.”
