Clint Tolbert has served as Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Maumee, Ohio, since 2010. After graduating from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), Clint and his wife, Stacey, served with The Navigators at Purdue University. During that season, Clint sensed God’s call to pastoral ministry and went on to earn a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2005. He recently completed a Doctor of Ministry at Gordon-Conwell, with a focus on Leadership in a Changing Church Context, under the guidance of Rev. Dr. Jim Singleton.
With coaching support from Kevin Ford and Leighton Ford Ministries, Clint has led the Maumee congregation through the Transforming Church process, resulting in growth from the 48th to the 98th percentile on the Transforming Church Index. In 2020, the congregation’s missional impact was recognized by the greater Maumee community when the Chamber of Commerce honored the church for its “tangible, measurable impact in the community.” In addition to his work at First Presbyterian, Clint now leads a Transforming Church cohort with four Presbyterian congregations in Ohio. He also participates in a mentoring group with Rich Hurst and five other pastors from across the country. He and Stacey lead a mentoring group for Presbyterian pastors and spouses within Ohio.
Clint and Stacey are grateful to live as a “family on mission” with their four children—Isaac, Lily, Shannon, and Owen—who have been actively involved in serving both the church and Young Life at Maumee High School.
