When You’ve Hit Rock Bottom
When leaders hit the wall, God meets them there and restores with mercy. In Jonah 2, the prophet who ran from God found mercy in the depths. What looked like judgment was grace. From the belly of the fish, Jonah prayed an honest prayer of repentance and rediscovered that even in the darkest place, God is near.
Today on Sunday Extra, Marnie Crumpler opens God’s Word and reminds us what it means to pray at your lowest. When you have made the mistake, hit the wall, or felt the weight of your choices, God hears. He restores.
Remembering Jean Graham Ford
Today we also remember Jean Ford, who passed from this earth into the Lord’s presence two years ago on February 29. We are grateful for her life, and we rejoice in our hope in Christ, through “whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God” (Romans 5:2 NIV).
