Sarah Breuel – Revival and Awakening
Revival and Awakening
The need for revival and spiritual awakening is ongoing. On today’s Sunday Extra, Sarah Breuel talks about the deep connection between repentance and revival. She draws lessons from historic awakening, like the 1907 Korean Revival and the recent Asbury Revival in Kentucky. She reflects on the ongoing need for travailing prayer and a heart posture of repentance. Sarah, who is originally from Brazil, leads LFM’s Revivalist Mentoring Group. She served as Director of Revive Europe as well as the chair of the 2016 Lausanne Younger Leaders Gathering.
A Quiet Revival
The United Kingdom Bible Society recently released a report about a “quiet revival” going on in England and Wales, as Gen Z leads an exciting turnaround in church attendance. Sarah Breuel, who lives in Rome, asks us to “pray for increased presence, repentance, softness to the Gospel and protection over the leaders.” Also, her church will be holding a special baptism service today for new Christians. She says, “They are bringing family and friends, most of them don’t know Christ, and they will share their stories. Pray for God to move in their hearts, and a powerful baptism service.” She also asks us to pray for her sons as they begin a new year in high school, for good friends and a healthy environment.
