Homero Aziz – The Art Of Losing To Gain
The Art of Losing to Gain
Homero Aziz leads The Brazilian Band of Brothers LFM Mentoring Group. He and his wife serve as missionaries in Jordan. He participated last year in the Fourth Lausanne Congress with LFM’s Anne Grizzle and Mark Slaughter, and he also was a part of our recent mentor training in Eurasia. Today, on Sunday Extra, our friend Homero shares a message from Luke 14:25-27 that he preached at a church in Australia last year. He challenges us from Jesus’ words with the art of losing to gain, as we consider the cost of following Christ.
Advancing God’s Kingdom
Homero and his wife started a church in Amman last year. He shares, “It’s been beautiful to see what the Lord is already doing with many fruits, but very challenging as we are in a very Islamic location with few believers. Please pray for protection, wisdom, and boldness as we advance God’s Kingdom in this area.” Let’s join together this week, asking the Father to grant those very things for Homero and the congregation he serves.
“The LORD is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?” (Psalm 27:1 NLT)
