Ministry is a holy but often lonely calling. From celebrations to questions to difficult days, who pastors the pastor?
Leighton Ford Ministries comes alongside pastors and ministry leaders as they journey through life and ministry … providing safe times, safe places, and safe friends to help strengthen ministry leaders over the long haul.
We provide trusted friends on the journey through whole-life mentoring.
Leighton Ford Ministries uses Mentoring Communities to help pastors and ministry leaders pay attention to what God is doing in their lives and to respond. It is not “directing” others in the sense of imposing an agenda on them and telling them what to do. Rather, it is meant to be friends … who listen deeply, and who may point out what God is doing and help discern God’s agenda.

The success of our mentoring communities is built upon relationships … several pastors and ministry leaders journeying together with an experienced mentor for the long haul. Our communities are organic, not programmatic.
The typical mentoring community will withdraw together for an annual retreat of several days, plus connect for regular updates via Zoom or over lunch.
While there is no one pattern, at the core there is always deep prayer and paying attention to each individual. Leighton Ford Ministries is committed to three vital aspects in our spiritual mentoring:
