Rachel Dorsey – When Convictions Collide
Encouraged in Heart
For almost forty years, Leighton Ford Ministries has mentored hundreds of pastors and ministry leaders around the world, primarily through one-to-one mentoring and mentoring groups, many of whom have launched second- and third-generation groups. We provide safe times, safe places, and safe people for ministry leaders.
Currently, LFM is partnering with Church United of South Florida to strengthen pastors and churches in that region. We have seventeen mentoring communities beginning this year through this partnership. These groups provide soul care for ministry leaders, an arm around the shoulder to people in the midst of ministry. Some of these groups are very specific: worship leaders, women in leadership, youth pastors, and senior pastors. Let’s pray for these South Florida groups, that these ministry leaders will be “encouraged in heart and united in love” (Colossians 2:2 NIV) so that they may be strengthened to do the work to which God has called them.
When Convictions Collide
Today we welcome teacher Rachel Dorsey, the associate pastor at Centerpoint Community Church, where her congregation has been engaged in a two-year visioning process. Rachel has played a key role in guiding their community as they clarified their mission and core values, and today she continues the series We Are Better Together with a message titled “When Convictions Collide.” In this sermon, Rachel helps us explore how we remain united even when we hold different personal convictions, reminding us that our shared values give us a way forward—shaping how we relate, listen, and build together as the Body of Christ.
