Nowhere to Somewhere
The account of Mephibosheth in 2 Samuel 9 is one of the great stories of transformation in the Bible as he goes from being destitute to eating at David’s table. He literally goes from nowhere to somewhere significant by God’s grace. Today on Sunday Extra, David Swanson, who serves as one of LFM’s Strategic Advisors, shares this remarkable story and how it applies to our lives. LFM has shared a rich partnership the last several years with the church David pastors in downtown Orlando. Through LFM’s partnering with a church, we become friends on a multi-year journey based on listening, research, and coaching. Together, we develop a custom roadmap to guide churches into the next phase of vibrant ministry.
Mature and Assured
Let’s pray for David Swanson and the church he pastors as they continue moving forward in God’s plan for them. Also, please pray for LFM’s Rich Hurst and Rhett Wilson as they lead a visioning retreat this week for a Christian museum in Montreat, North Carolina. May we all be like Epaphras, who was a prayer warrior for the Colossian church. The apostle Paul wrote of him, “Epaphras . . is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured” (Colossians 4:12 NIV).
Please also pray for LFM’s friend, Wendy Ramos, as she and her family mourn the passing of her father, Warren Der. Wendy leads one of our LFM mentoring communities.
