Let God Use You
On today’s Sunday Extra, Pastor Cedric Portis challenges believers to overcome low spiritual self-esteem and stop disqualifying themselves from being used by God. Drawing from the story of an unlikely deliverer in Judges, he reminds us that God specializes in using imperfect people, turning weaknesses into strengths through His grace. True spiritual maturity comes when we step out in faith, exercise our God-given gifts, and trust that we are enough—not because of our ability, but because of His power. Cedric participates in one of LFM’s mentor groups that meets in person yearly and virtually monthly.
God is Able
Today, let’s pray for the church Cedric pastors in St. Louis, Missouri. They minister to children in their community via several programs, including offering therapy and tutoring. Please pray for additional resources as they seek to make an impact on these young people. We remember the words of the apostle Paul: “God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV).
