Steve Turnbull, friend of LFM, shares God’s Word with us this morning on our Sunday Extra. Kevin Ford has partnered with this Ohio congregation in a visioning process, and Jim Singleton has coached Steve on several occasions. Today he preaches from Galatians 3:21-29, speaking about what Christ has done for us and how He shapes us. May we be open to what the Spirit is saying to us today.
Still Touching Lives
Lives are touched and transformed in an ongoing way through the ministry of writing. Leighton Ford, author of several books, wrote a memoir, A Life of Listening, in 2019. In it, the evangelist shares his personal story of learning to listen for God’s voice – and becoming comfortable with his own. This week, InterVarsity Press reached out to Leighton to let him know that the book is now in its seventh printing! Pray with us for the Lord to continue placing that book in the hands of people who need its message.
Also, on May 31, Leighton had six cancerous tumors removed from his bladder. He has recovered well and has been very active. He received his pathology report on June 20, and we’re pleased to report that his tumors, while high grade, were non-invasive. He will receive localized chemotherapy for six weeks, and the doctors have assured him that this is not life-threatening. Thank you for your continued prayers.
