Who Will I Become?
There’s something deeply comforting – and deeply troubling – about being truly known by another. This kind of knowing sees through the layers of our strengths, victories, inconsistencies, failures, and public image.
This week on LiveCalled Today, LFM’s friend and Strategic Advisor, Bishop Claude Alexander, discusses this reality from John 1:41-42. In a life-altering moment in Simon’s life, Jesus intentionally looks at him, calling out his future self. Through God’s transforming power, as Simon follows Jesus, the fisherman will be changed into Peter, a rock in God’s church.

PAUSE AND PRAY
Do you view yourself – and others – only as you are, or what you will become? When God calls someone, He knows everything about them: their fears and failures, potential, the ways He will change them, and the impact they can have for His glory and the Gospel. Let’s remember that, until we meet Jesus face to face, we are all in a process of being remade in His image. And we are trophies of His grace.
